Mark Scharenbroich – Featured Guest Speaker
While earning a degree in mass communications at St. Cloud State University in Minnesota, Mark wrote, directed and performed in a comedy troupe called Mom’s Apple Pie. The group performed together throughout the Midwest in the ’70s, and when it disbanded, Mark went solo and combined his comedy training with motivational speaking.

Soon after, Mark was employed by Jostens—the leading manufacturer of class rings, yearbooks and graduation products—to speak to their customers throughout North America. In 1981 Mark was featured in a film called “The Greatest Days of Your Life … (So Far),” which was seen by millions of viewers worldwide. Andy Chase is a specialist in enabling eBay sellers to grow their business using social media. Andy has been buying and selling on the site since 2003, and joined eBay officially in 2007. Since then he has worked with sellers of all sizes in various roles with the Global Account Management team. He has also contributed via the eBay Ink blog and is known on twitter as @eBay_Andy.

Robert Chatwani leads Internet Marketing for eBay Marketplaces. His team is responsible for driving consumer demand to eBay and adjacent businesses through a range of marketing channels, which includes global paid search, affiliate marketing, display advertising, search engine optimization, partnership marketing and local marketing. Previously, Robert was Director of Global Citizenship for eBay Inc. and led the development of a range social ventures encompassing sustainability, philanthropy and microfinance. Robert previously conceived and launched WorldofGood.com by eBay, a global marketplace for artisans and producers. Chatwani co-founded a consumer Internet marketplace, and was with McKinsey & Company. Robert received a bachelor's degree in economics from DePaul University and an MBA from the Haas School of Business at the University of California, Berkeley.

Marsha has taught thousands of eBay sellers how to build their business through her classes and is the author of the eBay For Dummies series. In all, she has published more than 35 books in the Wiley "For Dummies" series on eBay Business and has sold over one million copies. Her latest book, The Ultimate Online Customer Service Guide: How to Connect with your Customers to Sell More, gives businesses insights into how to use Social Media to build customer relations and their bottom line.

Jeremy joined the eBay team in 2010 as a New Hire Facilitator. During his time at eBay he has successfully trained and developed over a hundred of our eBay North America Customer Experience Teammates by giving them the skills and tools needed to support our community and assist our members with business development.

For over 13 years, Lynn Dralle has made her living selling on eBay. She sources products from garage sales, thrift stores and manufacturers. Lynn is known as "The Queen of Auctions" and was given an award for branding by eBay at eBay: On Location in 2010. Lynn is a frequent guest on eBay Radio and has appeared on hundreds of other radio and TV programs, including NBC's "Evening Magazine" and "Inside Edition". She has been featured in "Good Housekeeping" magazine. Lynn has produced and hosted a series of DVD programs entitled "The Queen's Academy" and has filmed four episodes of a new reality show. Lynn's book credits include: The 100 Best Things I've Sold on eBay, How to Sell Antiques and Collectibles on eBay… and Make a Fortune, and The Unofficial Guide to Making Money on eBay.

Kent Griffin is a Sr. Product Manager at PayPal and manages the mobile SDK products. He currently focuses on how to make payments easy for mobile developers and as well as creating new ways for developers to monetize apps. He has been with PayPal for over six years, and was a founding member of their mobile group. Prior to PayPal, Kent helped developed full-service solutions for other financial service providers. He holds both a bachelor’s and master’s degree from Stanford University.

Jim "Griff" Griffith joined eBay as the company's first customer support representative in 1996, and subsequently helped hire and train new customer support representatives and employees. Now, as Dean of eBay Education, roving ambassador, eBay spokesperson, seller advocate and most notably, the host of eBay Radio and author of The Official eBay Bible, Griff spends nearly all his time teaching others how to use eBay effectively, safely and profitably. He can be found meeting face-to-face with sellers and buyers around the country; responding to customer e-mail; managing and hosting the popular weekly "eBay Radio" and "Ask Griff" radio shows; and spreading the word about eBay across print, radio and television.

As the program lead for PayPal Here, Martin has played an instrumental role in launching PayPal Here globally and is now responsible for the overall merchant experience. Previously, Martin led PayPal Mobile's strategic and operational planning efforts to cement its leadership position in the exploding mobile payments space. Martin served as General Manager for eBay Classifieds US, leading the business through various growth phases to become the second-largest U.S. classifieds site. Prior to eBay, he spent several years in Strategy and Operations for Dow Jones' online properties, including the Wall Street Journal Online, and played a key role in the acquisition and integration of MarketWatch.

Rich Matsuura has been with eBay for six years. Prior to joining the Feedback and Seller Protection team, Rich was Director of eBay Seller Tools. He also led the eBay shipping team. Rich has been buying and selling on eBay since 1997. Prior to eBay Rich was involved in a number of ecommerce startups where he enjoyed working with and enabling sellers and businesses to be successful online. The most successful startup he was involved with was Rocktide which enabled businesses to create online storefronts and web sites through their browser.

Shari Smith began her career selling on eBay as a way to bridge the gap between full time work outside of the home. She initially sold a variety of personal items and quickly found success in her efforts. Friends and family began asking for her help in selling their items on eBay and she quickly realized that she could turn this "temporary" job into something full time. Six years later, Shari has never looked back. She is a Gold PowerSeller, Certified Education Specialist Trained by eBay, and received the 2010 and 2011 Education Specialist Excellence Award. Shari is also active in Toastmasters and has received the Advanced Communicator Bronze award.

Rena knows firsthand the challenges of owning a business. Growing up working in her father’s pharmacy and running her own business fueled her desire to assist eBay sellers in maintaining success. She began her eBay career in 2007 as a Top Seller Account Manager and has held a variety of roles in the customer service organization and seller development teams. Currently she supports the Top Rated Seller program and is creating coaching materials to promote seller success on eBay.

John joined eBay in February 2005 as President of eBay Marketplaces, responsible for all elements of eBay's global ecommerce businesses. In this role, he focused on expanding eBay's core business, which accounts for a large percentage of the company's revenues. John also oversaw a number of strategic acquisitions, including Shopping.com, StubHub and classifieds sites, such as Gumtree. During his three-year tenure as President of Marketplaces, revenues and profits for the division doubled.

Prior to eBay, John spent more than 20 years at Bain & Company, a worldwide consulting firm based in Boston. Starting as an Associate Consultant, John rose to become the firm's president and CEO in 1999, overseeing Bain's 30 offices and 3,000 employees.

In addition to serving on the Board of Directors for eBay Inc. and Intel Corp., John is also on the Board of Trustees of Dartmouth College. John received a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from Dartmouth College and an MBA from the Stanford Graduate School of Business.

In that role, he led Reuters' consumer media and Internet strategy as well as all of the company's data, information, and analytical products, the sales force, information technology, and global marketing, among other functions.

Before 2006, Devin served on the Reuters Board and held numerous positions in the organization, including leading several divisions from 2003 to 2006 as president of Business Divisions, with the responsibility of leading the revitalization of Reuters and its four business segments.

Devin received a BA from Union College, and a JD from Columbia University Law School. Devin serves on the boards of March of Dimes and is a member of the World Economic Forum's Young Global Leaders.

Mark and his wife, Susan, founded Scharenbroich & Associates, Inc. Today, they've been married for more than 30 years and continue to partner in the company, which serves business and education clients internationally.In 2010, they established NiceBikeHonorsVeterans.org to honor the memory of Mark’s father and to support veterans causes with a portion of the sales from his book, Nice Bike.
